Ambrose, son of Kyle & Bridget Roth. Ambrose made the perfect addition to the Roth family: Kyle & Bridget, Louie & Mariela. When Ambrose turned 1 years old, they noticed something wasn't quite right. He struggled to swallow and keep down food and fluids, and by the time he should have been walking, he wasn't. After countless doctor visits, which led to genetic tests, the family received devastating news on the Friday before Christmas 2024 that Ambrose had Metachromatic Leukodystrophy (MLD), a rare and life-threatening genetic disorder. The disorder is progressive, and they have been told he is not eligible for treatment, as his condition has progressed too far. Without treatment, his life expectancy is uncertain, likely no longer than five years. Kyle & Bridget learned they both are carriers of the rare genetic mutation, and their other children have a 25% chance of having MLD as well. Despite the uncertain future, Kyle and Bridget cling to their faith and each other.
